Work Package 4: Comprehensive Model-based Analysis of Policy Scenarios

In WP4, scenario parameters defined in WP2 will be translated into variables and parameters used by the models and subsequently simulation runs will be carried out. The modelling activities will start with a baseline scenario and a set of different decarbonisation strategies (2-3) and the underlying decarbonisation policies. In a second step, we will analyse different compensation policies/financing options to quantify the impacts for different household types, in particular the impact on vulnerable (and disadvantaged) groups in terms of e.g. decreasing consumption or employment opportunities. These first simulation results and differences between the different scenarios will be discussed internally as well as with the scientific advisory board. Results will be disaggregated for different household types. Moreover, investment costs and aggregate macroeconomic effects (i.e. changes in GDP, value added, and employment) will be reported. The model simulations will be scrutinised by a sensitivity analysis of the most important scenario parameters.
