Fair-Heat Stakeholder Workshop on Scenarios for the Heat Transition

An online stakeholder workshop was held to discuss scenario assumptions for modelling Austria's heat transition with relevant stakeholders. After an overview of the project and a presentation of the models that will be used for the simulations, the interactive workshop explored various aspects that should be explored in the scenarios, with a focus on four topics:
- policy instruments for decarbonising the (residential) building stock;
- the future relevance of different heating technologies and the associated infrastructure;
- potential support measures for vulnerable households; and
- financing options for the heating transition.
The input and feedback from stakeholders will form the basis for defining the scenarios for the heating transition, which will be analysed in the model simulations. The slides can be downloaded here.
